Early Childhood Education is available at the YW’s Children’s Centers for children 6 weeks to 12 years old. Two of the YW’s Centers are NAEYC accredited (S.C.C.C and Washington Avenue). Infant careAvailable for children 6 weeks to 18 months old at three sites: 44 Washington Avenue (7:00 am – 5:30 pm) and Schenectady County Community College (7:30 am – 5:30 pm). ChildcareChoose from one of three sites for early childhood education for children 18 months old to 5 years old. Available sites: E-36 Yates Village (7:30 am – 5:30 pm), 44 Washington Avenue (7:00 am – 5:30 pm) and Schenectady County Community College (7:30 am – 5:30 pm). |

Universal Pre-KindergartenProgram is sponsored by the Schenectady City School District and is free to qualified applicants who reside in the City of Schenectady. For children 4-5 years old preparing for life in Kindergarten with an educationally based curriculum prescribed by the School District. Program is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 – 11:30 am at all YW locations. Program runs the same schedule as the Schenectady City School District. Wrap-around care is available for an additional charge. Vacation Fun DaysFor children 6-12 years old during school breaks and summer. Activities include: art experience, gym games, creative play and quiet time. |
